Matt Smith, CPA, CHFP

Matt Smith, CPA, CHFP, comes to PMC with over 10 years of professional experience in multiple industries. Most recently, he was with the Sheakley Group and served as the Controller for their Payroll Service and 401(k) Administration divisions.

Prior to the Sheakley Group, Matt spent several years leading the Accounting and Finance teams at Summit Healthcare and Prime Home Entertainment. Matt has also held Internal Audit positions with The United Methodist Publishing House and The State of Tennessee.

Matt holds his BBA in Accounting from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP®). To be awarded the CHFP distinction, applicants must be a Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) member and have completed HFMA’s Business of Health Care and HFMA’s Operational Excellence programs.

Coming from a long family line of individuals serving in the healthcare industry, Matt continues his family tradition and passion by joining PMC.

Matt Karpovich

Matt Karpovich is PMC’s Director of Talent Acquisition, focusing on overall clinical support strategy and team development. Matt came to PMC with experience in sales, recruitment, and operations. 

Before joining PMC, Matt spent three years managing a dynamic team within a major hospital system in Nashville, TN. There he helped to identify and retain personnel and spent time in the behavioral health space working to identify and provide support for specific needs within the K-12 school system across the country. 

Matt earned his BS in Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. 

Mitchell Kline

Mitch Kline is PMC’s director of marketing and brand. He helps the company share it’s story, engage with new clients and attract new patients. Mitch is a talented writer, who excels at helping companies connect with customers.

Prior to joining PMC, Mitch was director of content and public relations at a nationwide addiction treatment provider, guiding people towards treatment for substance use disorders. He’s also helped one of the largest hospital chains in the country develop strong patient education materials and advertising campaigns.

Mitch started his career as a journalist before moving to a marketing agency where he managed print publications and a website showcasing America’s best places to live. He’s also helped the nation’s largest senior living provider gain earned media coverage and recruit new employees.

Mitch earned his BA in psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Cindy Walker

Cindy Walker joined PMC’s corporate team as Physician Services Director in August 2020. Cindy is responsible for all physician-related activities across all PMC service lines including physician talent acquisition, communications, provider contracting implementation, contractual compliance, and ongoing relations to retain PMC policies. Cindy comes to PMC with over 20 years of executive healthcare management experience in multiple specialties and most recently acted as a Regional Clinic Director for Pinnacle Dermatology.

Prior to joining PMC, Cindy served as a health care operations leader with an extensive background in administration, management, financial oversight, and quality assurance. She has served on the local Chamber of Commerce Boards, been an active member of several medical management associations, and served on the board for Vintage Affair, a local non-profit supporting women and children in need. Cindy has also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity participating in their Women Build Project, helping families build strength, stability, and independence through housing.

Cindy began her Business Management degree studies at Belmont University and is currently continuing her education at Bethel University in the Business Management professional studies program.

Kirby Johnson

Kirby Johnson is PMC’s Business Development Director, working on expanding access to quality behavioral health care in Minnesota and the greater Midwest area.  

Before joining PMC, Kirby spent over ten years as the CEO for critical access hospitals across the country. Through his experience, Kirby gained a deeper understanding of the need for behavioral health care in rural communities and feels passionate about the growth of Senior Life Solutions as an opportunity to help people in rural America receive the care that they need.  

Kirby earned a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and finance from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. He then acquired his Master of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Denver, CO. Kirby also serves as a member of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Betsy Dooley

Betsy Dooley serves as the Director of Embrace Health. In her role, Betsy focuses on the continued development of an exceptional patient experience while building upon an authentic, accountable, and kind work culture to further the growth and expansion of Embrace Health.   

Betsy initially joined the PMC team in April of 2018 as the Talent Acquisition Manager, where she played a vital role in finding exceptional talent to join the PMC team. Before PMC, Betsy worked as the Director of Member Activation and Member services for Ascension Care Management, the Market Analyst for HealthLeaders-Interstudy, and the Director of Programs for Health Assist Tennessee.  

During her free time, Betsy enjoys volunteering in settings such as career counseling, patient advocacy, fundraising, and event planning for nonprofits supporting arts and culture, economic empowerment, refugee services, and neighborhood/community involvement. 

Betsy earned her B.A. in Communications from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.

Melissa Martin

Melissa Martin joined PMC in April of 2016 as the Community Education Director. In 2019, she became PMC’s Program Development Director. Melissa is responsible for providing operational development and support to programs with a specific focus on community education and implementation of new programs.

Melissa began her career in a residential center for at-risk youth where she witnessed the impact of addiction in families and the stigma of mental health in rural communities. Inspired to do more, she became a registered addiction specialist.

For 20 years Melissa has dedicated her career to behavioral health and has served in a variety of capacities from addiction counseling to program management, but she specializes in engaging and educating communities.

Melissa’s parents instilled the importance of community investment and encouraged her involvement in outdoor sports. She excelled at most, favoring archery and softball, and played one season of professional women’s football with the Chattanooga Locomotion.

Committed to patient education, she is delighted to join PMC in their effort to raise awareness of resources and contribute to the increased quality of life of both patients and their families.

Tanya Blake

Tanya Blake is the director of benefits and total rewards at PMC providing expertise in the areas of HR and benefits. In this role, Tanya evaluates and implements benefit programs to improve employee health outcomes while keeping PMC compliant with federal and state regulations. 

Prior to joining PMC Tanya has worked in the corporate benefits realm for 25 years. Most recently as the benefits manager for a multi-million-dollar healthcare company.  During this time Tanya implemented and maintained companywide benefit programs including health and welfare and retirement plans for over 15,000 employees. Tanya is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance.

Hunter Jorgensen

Hunter Jorgensen is PMC’s Business Development Director, helping to bring behavioral healthcare programs to rural communities throughout the western United States. Hunter came to PMC with experience in Business Development in the senior living and temporary physician staffing industries. 

Before joining PMC, Hunter led the Business Development team at the largest locum tenens company in the country. He traveled to hundreds of rural hospitals across the US to help provide temporary physicians to short-staffed hospitals. It was during that time that Hunter saw firsthand the need for quality healthcare in rural America. 

Hunter earned his BS in Business Administration from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. 

Brian Delano

Brian Delano is a business development director at PMC, working to expand access to quality behavioral health services within Texas and Louisiana.

Prior to joining PMC, Brian spent 22 years in healthcare operations and business development roles within the dialysis, wound care, and behavioral health fields. During this time, Brian saw the intricate connection between mind and body and the need to treat the whole person in order to obtain quality outcomes and to help people “live their best lives.” Additionally, he worked as a licensed master social worker in Michigan and Texas, helping children and adults suffering from chronic and acute mental health issues. Through this experience, Brian saw that access to quality behavioral health care is lacking, especially in rural America. His mission is to see access to quality behavioral health care expanded.

Brian has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan in Dearborn, MI; a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, and a Master of Business Administration from Baylor University in Waco, TX.

Brian remains active at Baylor University where he is a professional mentor in the Christian Leadership in Business Scholarship program and serves as a judge for the Annual National MBA Case Competition in Ethical Leadership.
